How to join a tournament

With Lanetalk you can play local and global tournaments from your favorite lane in your home center. It’s easy to join, just follow this simple step-by-step video or the guide below and you show who’s the king or queen on the lanes – once and for all!

  1. Download the Lanetalk app from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
  2. Choose to join via: Google, Facebook, Apple or Email Address. When selecting Email Address, you must provide an email address and choose a password. Tap ”Next.”
  3. Complete the prompts and enter your profile information that is required.
  4. You will receive a message stating: ”Within 10 days, you need to confirm your email address.” You will receive an email shortly. Open your mail app in your phone and click on the link in it to confirm your email.
  5. In the Lanetalk app, tap on “Play” at the bottom of the screen. Now you see all available matches in your local area. If you don’t see any matches, make sure that Location Access has been enabled and try again (your geo position is needed to verify the center you are visiting).
  6. Tap the tournament match card. The next screen will provide you with the competition details, including how many attempts you have left and leaderboard access after finishing the first attempt.
  7. Tap the green “Play” button and accept the User Agreement
  8. Go through the checklist that the app presents, then tap “Done.”
    – Your phone has an Internet connection.
    – You’re at your lane in the bowling center.
    – Your “player name” is on the center screen.
    – You’ve bowled no more than 2 frames.
  9. Enter the lane number.
  10. Select your player name in the list.
  11. Have fun!
  12. Do you want to give it another try? Then tap “Play again”.

If you must switch lanes in the middle of your game, make sure that the center helps you to transfer the scores to the new lane in the scoring system so that you may resume playing. The app will update accordingly.
