Weekly Follow-Up League Activities

When using Lanetalk League Manager alongside your existing league software, most league administration tasks are handled automatically. However, after each league round, we recommend verifying the following areas to ensure all statistics, standings, and results are accurate and aligned with your official league records.

1. Have all scores been imported correctly?

Verify that all games and bowlers have been imported successfully. If scores are missing, common causes include mismatching bowler or team names, pre/post bowling, or games played on unexpected lanes. Compare the imported results with your official league recap or scoring software.

2. Are all bowlers assigned to the team?

Confirm that every bowler is connected to the correct team. This is especially important in leagues using team handicap calculations, as incorrect assignments can affect team averages and standings.

3. Do averages and handicaps match the official league records?

Review bowler averages and handicaps to ensure they align with your league’s official statistics. Differences are often caused by missing games, duplicate bowler profiles, or absent/vacant scores being included incorrectly.

4. Are Vacant, Absent, and Injured bowlers handled correctly?

Check that all Vacant, Absent, and Injured scores have been identified and applied according to league rules. While League Manager handles most cases automatically, exceptions may require manual review.

5. Are team points distributed correctly?

Once scores, team assignments, averages, and special cases have been verified, review the team points. If the points do not match the official results, verify that the scoring format and league rules have been configured correctly.

Tip: A quick comparison with the reports generated by your primary league software after each round is the easiest way to identify and resolve discrepancies early.
